Click a button wherever it appears on screen
When a button moves, or only shows up now and then, give the app a picture of it instead of a position. Each click goes wherever that picture is found.
Capture the button
- Under Target, choose Image.
- Press Capture... and drag a rectangle around the button. A small preview appears next to the button.
- Capture it the way it looks when the mouse is not on it; many buttons change color on hover, and the cursor rests on the button after a click.
Run it
Press Start. While the button is on screen, each click goes to its center; while it isn't, the run waits and the status bar says Paused: waiting for the captured image to appear. After a click, the next one waits for a fresh look at the screen, so a click that closes the button is never repeated on whatever is underneath.
When it isn't found
- Search sets how far around the capture spot to look (150 px by default). Raise it if the window moves further; it applies at the next Start, no recapture needed.
- Tolerance (0 to 64, 0 = exact) lets colors differ a little, for HDR, Night light or translucent themes. Keep it as low as works: a high tolerance can match something else of the same shape.
- If display scaling changed or the button really looks different now, press Capture... again. Clear forgets the image.
Image profiles keep their own picture, and an exported profile file carries it along, so you can share a ready-made setup.
