Engine/code is MIT (LICENSE.md on dev). Voice/model packs may still carry their own terms — check each HF/model card before bundling.
Compare sherpa-onnx / melotts for alternate local TTS paths. espeak-ng is GPL-3.0 formant TTS; this fork exists to avoid that copyleft.
