Free sound effects site with over 1,100 clips: whooshes, impacts and foley, UI and game sounds, ambiences, vehicles, animals, sci-fi, horror and meme-style clips. Each sound plays in the browser and downloads as MP3, WAV or OGG with no account. The site is aimed at video creators, and its licence names games and apps among the permitted uses, commercial ones included, with no credit owed.
Use in a game is explicit. The licence lists "games, mobile and web apps, and other software" among the permitted uses; ads, films and paid client work are named too
You may not redistribute the raw files: not sold, shared or re-uploaded "on their own", nor bundled into "another sound pack, library or marketplace"
You may not register the sounds with a content-ID system such as YouTube Content ID as your own, or claim that you made the original recordings
Credit is optional. The licence page suggests Sound effects from DailySounds.org; each sound page also offers a longer line naming that sound
Named clips: some titles mention a film, show, game, song, brand or celebrity. The licence page calls these "fan-made, meme-style or “inspired by” clips" and leaves it to the user to make sure a commercial use of one is appropriate. Check those clips before shipping them in a commercial game
Who made the sounds: the licence page says most were recorded or made by Daily Sounds, and others were uploaded by DailySounds creators who confirm they own them. This entry has not checked individual sounds
File quality: the packs page says the free single sounds are MP3s from the Daily Sounds YouTube channel, and their WAV and OGG downloads are made from those MP3s
The site also sells WAV sound packs on itch.io, a separate product, and gives one pack (Game Starter, 60 sounds) away free. This entry covers the free single-sound downloads
The licence also bars use "in content that is illegal, hateful or harassing", and the sounds are provided "as is", without warranties
