Fab, Epic's asset marketplace, has two kinds of free content. Permanently free listings are found with the search page's Free filter and come from Epic, Quixel and third-party sellers. The Limited-Time Free program makes a few normally paid products free for two weeks, with a new set every two weeks; the current set is on the Limited-Time Free page. This entry points at both; individual giveaway items are not catalogued here because they change every fortnight.

needs-review: Useful, but a real question is open. Verify before you ship.
Licence varies per listing: most carry the Fab Standard License, some carry CC-BY (credit required), and some Epic and Unreal-specific listings add a "UE-Only Content" line that restricts them to Unreal Engine. Read the Details panel and description of each listing before you rely on it
Standard License listings: commercial use allowed, no credit required, not limited to Unreal unless the listing says UE-Only
No redistribution for Standard License listings: the Fab EULA summary says you may not "Resell or redistribute the asset for free on a standalone basis or allow others to do the same". Do not commit Fab downloads in source form to a public repository
Limited-Time Free items must be claimed inside the two-week window; the free price ends on the stated date (for example "Until October 20 at 9:59 AM ET" on 2026-10-13)
Many free listings are Unreal-only by format even when the licence is not, because they ship as Unreal projects or asset packs
